“Only those within whom the Naam has been manifested and who know the reality of the Naam, have the real appreciation for Naam; because they know what power the Naam is. I have often said that Naam is like a visa. You know that when you have to enter into some country other than the country to which you belong, you need some kind of visa. And the government of that country has authorized some representative in your country who will give you the visa, and you have to go and appear in front of them and then if they want the can give you the visa to go to their country. Naam is like that visa. Without getting Naam we cannot enter the Kingdom of God; and God has sent His beloved children, Saints, as His representatives who give us the visa of Naam; and on the passport of those who come to them they stamp that visa. One who has it is not stopped in any plane and he can easily go back to his Real Home because he has been given the visa by a Representative of Almighty Lord whom we call a Saint.”
“If your daily life is not under control, try to bring it in control, or give more time to meditation and you will be able to gain control quicker.”
“If we want to control the mind, first of all we have to know the habit of the mind and the things which our mind likes. The thing which our mind likes the most is company; because it can be easily affected by the company he keeps. If we keep our mind in the company of gamblers, it is very easy for him to adopt that quality; he will also become a gambler. If we keep him in the company of drunkards, he will easily learn how to drink and get involved in that. In the same way, if we keep him in the company of those who do the devotion of Naam, it is possible that he may learn and adopt the quality of doing the meditation of Naam. If, instead of giving him the taste of pleasures of the world, and instead of making him intoxicated in the things of the world, we give him the real pleasure of Naam, it is possible that he may give up all other pleasures and remain intoxicated in the pleasure of Naam. Because the pleasure of Naam is the highest of all pleasures; no worldly pleasure can be compared, or can compete, with the pleasure of Naam.”
“What an unspeakable blessing! The time has come to realize Him at last. It is thy turn to meet God.”
“So one who is desirous of kam, krodh, or one who is greedy, he can never do meditation. Meditation is done only by the brave people. In meditation we have to give up all our mind and our heart to Master. We have to wander in search of Master. And if you have given up your heart or your mind to Master then why do you think about karn or krodh? Or why do you give your mind to karn or krodh?”
“All that has blemished your pure life in the past can be left in the hands of the Master, and in the future you should live a clean and chaste life and be regular in your spiritual practices. You will come very close to the Master, and His love will just envelop you.”
“The sacred charged Words carry the life impulse of the Master and their repetition with deep faith and single-minded devotion, feed the soul with gradual consciousness, and leave behind indelible impressions over it.”
“Through the practice of listening to this Music, all sins, impurities and afflictions are removed. The pains of many births are eliminated and one gains bliss. Doubts and fears are destroyed. One enjoys heavenly bliss and dwells in his original Home.”
“In this world there are two paths for us to follow. One is the path of the mind, the other is the path of the Masters. By following the path of the mind, we get stuck in the pleasures of the organs of senses, and we create difficulties for our own selves. By following the path of our mind, we do such deeds, to suffer the consequences of which, we have to come back into this world of suffering again and again. On the path of the Masters, we have to improve ourselves; and, by following the instructions of the Saints and Masters, and vacating our attention from all the nine openings of the body, we have to come to the eye center and connect ourselves with the Shabd Naam. Saints and Mahatmas tell us that Sant Mat is sweet, loving, wonderful, unique, and no path can compete with it.”
“Devotion starts when you detach your heart from the outward things and attach it to God or to the God-in-man.”
“Whatever the Masters say is all true. Because Masters have lived a life of experience and they speak from that experience, whatever they say is weighed and correct. Always the words which are spoken by the Master come true. Those who make the Master’s words the base of their life, they live happily and easily; and it is easy to take their soul back to Sach Khand, their Real Home. Those who mold their lives according to the words of the Master get the Supreme Bliss and eternal happiness. Whatever stories the Masters tell, if people take those stories to their heart, and work according to the Master’s words, they can achieve the great happiness.”
“God is an Ocean of Grace. When we do any good karma as a result of which we get the human birth, God Almighty also takes the human form and He lives among us. He tells us His secret, He tells us how we have to pay off all the karmas and how we can go back to our Real Home. This has been going on ever since the creation was created: God Almighty has always taken the human form and has lived among us. If He had not been doing all this then we would not have the stories of the Masters and the disciples and the Saints. Swami Ji Maharaj says. “He Himself assumes the human form: He Himself comes into this world and tells us His own secret.”
“All initiates are on the Way. Some have developed more than others, so some may have more faults and failings than the others. We have to hate the sin and love the sinner.”
“We should thank the Almighty Lord Who has given us this beautiful body, Who has given us good health, and so many other comforts in this world. He has sent us into this world, saying: “I am separating you from Myself and I am sending you into the world; but those who make the effort and do the devotion of the Lord will be able to come back to the Real Home. Their devotion will bring the highest prize: coming back to the Real Home from which I am separating you.” He has sent His beloveds, His dear children, the Saints, into this world, and They have always given us these teachings and inspired us to do the devotion of God which enables us to go back to the Real Home. After coming into this world, Saints do not tell us to sit idle and do nothing. They tell us, “As there is disease, so there is remedy.” There is a remedy for every disease. They ceaselessly tell us to make efforts.”
“The simran of the objects of the world should be replaced by the simran of God, and thoughts of the world by contemplation of the Master, who is God incarnate. Thus is imprinted on our subconscious mind the impression of God in the form of our Satguru.”
“If you want to accomplish anything in this world, the first thing required is to have faith, to have belief. When we are traveling in a train, going over rivers on the bridges built by engineers, we have faith in those engineers that their bridges will not break down. We surrender our precious lives in their hands and travel in the train without any worries. Fearlessly, we sleep all night while the train crosses bridge after bridge. In the same way, when we fly in the air, we go up miles above the earth. We surrender our lives to the pilots and the engineers because we have faith in them that they will take us to the right place and that they are able to take us where we want to go.
Similarly, when we enter into Sant Mat, in the beginning we need much faith in the Master. If we have any doubt, we cannot progress and the way to Him will not be open to us. We can deceive and misguide the people, but we cannot deceive that God Which is within us; we cannot play tricks on Him. In the beginning we need to build up faith outwardly and, after that, when we go within and see with our own eyes, we realize that we need not worry about anything: because the God Who is residing within us is concerned about us and He is doing everything for us.”
“Changing over from material to spiritual man is the most difficult part of spirituality and when you learn to perfect yourself in that field, then God-realization is not difficult.”
Whenever the Saints and Mahatmas, the beloveds of God, have come into this world, They have told us about the value of the
human body. They have explained to us why God Almighty has given us this human birth; as a result of which good karmas of our past we have been blessed with this gift of the human body; and They have told us how, while sitting within this human body, we have to surrender ourselves to God Almighty and do His devotion. They have also given us information about those elements who are residing within us and misleading us; and They have also told us about those good elements within us which inspire us to do the devotion of God. But they did not only give us that information; They also taught us the way to enter this human body. Furthermore: They not only gave us the information we needed, and They not only taught us how to go into the human body, but They also gave us a promise: “If you withdraw your attention from outside and come within to the eye center, We will be there to help you.”
“We do not realize what a blessing we have. Make the best use of it. “God made flesh has come—has entered my house and given me a contact. O mind, don’t rest for a moment.” And that’s the main object of man’s life. In this human body you can go back to your home and in no other. You are fortunate you have the human body. What you can do here in a short time cannot be done in the other world—the higher planes—in ten times as long. Every day, every hour, every minute, brings us closer to the end of the human body. So hurry up! Repose; just go into the lap of the mother. Nothing further to be done.”
“How to find peace? How we human beings may leave in peace with other and with ourselves? Well, we have to begin with ourselves. We will be in peace with others only when we are at peace with ourselves. If we cultivate this peaceful attitude, this non-reactive attitude when difficult situations do arise, if we are able to not be easily hurt, be strong, capable to control our emotions then there is a possibility of being at peace, no hurt others and not being hurt by others.”
